Compliance workflows need guarantees that AI inference calls don't provide. When a Closing Disclosure starts a 3-business-day waiting period, that timer must survive server restarts, deployments, and infrastructure failures.
Temporal provides durable execution. Workflows are event-sourced — every step is recorded in Temporal's event history and can be replayed deterministically. Confer uses Temporal for:
