Junior AI Engineer
As a Junior AI Engineer on Confer's India team, you build the AI agents and automations that power our products — wiring agent workflows in n8n and Flowise, integrating APIs, and writing Python and SQL. It's an early-career role for someone curious and proactive, with senior mentorship and real ownership from day one.

Confer Solutions AI (Confer Inc., doing business as Confer Solutions AI) is an applied-AI company. We build intelligent agents — and the orchestration that makes teams of them work together — to automate real, end-to-end work. Founded by Yatin Karnik, our Founder and CEO and a former 18-year Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo, Confer pairs teams of AI agents with our own engineers to take products from idea to production. Across everything we build, the throughline is the same: intelligent agents that automate what humans shouldn't have to do.
This is a fully remote role on Confer's India team. You'll work alongside our engineers and our AI agents on a single shared codebase and roadmap, keeping meaningful overlap with US hours for live collaboration while the day-to-day stays asynchronous and outcome-driven — we care about what you ship, not where you sit. You'll be close to how we actually build: small teams of people and agents owning real products end to end.
As a Junior AI Engineer, you'll help build the AI agents and automations that do real work inside our products. Day to day, you'll wire up agent workflows in n8n and Flowise, integrate third-party APIs, and write the Python and SQL behind our agents. You'll ship what you build with Docker and Coolify, and work with vector databases like Qdrant and frameworks like LangChain as you grow into larger, orchestrated agent systems. This is an early-career role for someone curious, proactive, and eager to learn — you'll be mentored by senior engineers and given real ownership quickly.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain AI agents and automations in n8n and Flowise.
- Integrate third-party REST APIs (JSON) into our agent workflows.
- Write Python and SQL to move, transform, and validate data.
- Deploy and run what you build with Docker and Coolify.
- Grow into vector databases (Qdrant) and orchestration frameworks (LangChain) as you take on larger agent systems.
What we're looking for
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
- 0–3 years of software or AI engineering experience.
- Working knowledge of Python and SQL, plus comfort consuming and integrating REST APIs (JSON).
- Familiarity with cloud basics and containerized deployment (Docker / Coolify).
- Exposure to AI automation or agent tooling (n8n, Flowise, or similar) and the drive to go deep.
- Curious, proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with vector databases (Qdrant) or agent frameworks (LangChain, MCP).
- Personal or academic projects involving LLMs, agents, or automation.
- Comfort working asynchronously with a distributed, US-based team.
